I take photographs because it’s the most natural way for me to understand things. Not just to “document” them, but to be right in the middle of them. For me, photography is a human need—a way to express and understand. When it works, it’s simple: it forces you to really look.
I studied psychology. And perhaps that’s why I’m most interested in people: not their facade, but what remains when the mask slips. I love contradictions because they’re honest: they reveal who we are, what we’re looking for, and what we try to hide (even from ourselves).
Rome is my home base. The street is my ongoing school: not as a label, but as a method—presence, timing, empathy, contradictions. On the street, you can’t be in control; you can only be ready. If you try to control it, you miss out on its beauty and unpredictability. And this discipline—silent, concrete—encompasses everything: personal projects, portraits, editorial work, and training.
I am dedicated to mentorship and advanced visual education because I believe in imparting a way of seeing, not a list of rules. We focus on attention, introspection, rhythm, and synthesis: how to create meaning from what is there, but above all from who we are.
When it comes to “tools,” I use whatever works. Sometimes technology, sometimes simplicity. I care about one thing only: that the tool doesn’t come between me and what I’m looking at.
Unperfect01 is the hub where my personal projects, writing, and mentorship come together
