Two days ago.

The end of the COVID-19 lockdown in Rome. Here it is, the final day of lockdown! We’ve grown accustomed to two months of social distancing. Fair enough, of course. The photos you’ll see here straddle the line between two different phases. The last day of lockdown in Rome. And now, ahead of us, a very delicate period. We must be responsible, but at the same time, we must stay close to the people we love.

And the same goes for your personal projects. It should be something close to your heart, something close to you, but you need to maintain enough distance to analyze it. It’s pretty difficult, but it’s the only way to build a project. It has to be something you love or hate. But the second option is more complicated. And then you have to take a step back. Start the analysis process. Don’t dwell on impossible things. Simplicity is of immense value.

Look for and find connections both outside and within yourself, and play with contradictions. Build the structure of your project in a personal way and explore its rhythm through your photos. Share your vision with the people around you. This is a difficult time, but it can be a great opportunity for personal growth. The only way to become a better photographer is to become a better person. There’s no doubt about that.
